Privacy Statement

As part of the Trustee’s ongoing work to strengthen the Scheme’s governance framework, a formal Privacy Statement has been created setting out the Trustee’s commitment to comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 to ensure the safe and appropriate use of the data it holds in respect of individuals.

The Statement outlines the type of personal data held, how it is obtained, how it is used, and how it is stored. It also details the circumstances under which the Trustee might share personal data with third parties, such as with the Scheme’s professional advisers, and Data Protection agreements are already in place for these relationships. Where the Scheme provides data to a third party with whom there is no existing relationship, appropriate confidentiality and data protection clauses are included in each contract.

A formal review of the Scheme’s Privacy Statement will be carried out regularly. A copy of the statement can be found here.
